The NFL offseason is a vital time for every franchise, with some extremely talented players becoming available. However, some are yet to find new homes, so where will they go?

We have already seen some huge free-agent moves in this 2025 NFL offseason, with the deals of Davante Adams to the Rams, Sam Darnold to the Seahawks, and Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders just to name a few of these blockbuster moves so far.

However, despite these huge names already moving on in free agency, there are still plenty of brilliantly talented football players who are yet to find their home for 2025.

So the question lies, where will these players go? Here are five current free agents and what team could be their next possible place to call home.

Aaron Rodgers- Pittsburgh Steelers

The Aaron Rodgers situation has been one of the most broadcasted dilemmas of this year’s off-season.

After a difficult season with the New York Jets, they decided to move on from Rodgers for next season, announcing former Steeler Justin Fields as his replacement for 2025.

The former Super Bowl champion and four-time MVP has been one of the best quarterbacks of the modern NFL era, however, now at 41 years of age, we are starting to see him regress.

Despite this, he is still an extremely talented quarterback who has drawn interest from many quarterback-needing teams so far this offseason, with the two teams who have seemingly led the race for his signature being the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.

Just a couple of days ago, the Giants looked like the favourites to sign Rodgers. However, after their acquisition of Jameis Winston, they are seemingly giving up on their Rodgers pursuit.

The Steelers are in need of a bridge quarterback to help guide whoever it is that will be the future of their franchise.

Rodgers began his career under the guidance of legend Brett Favre, so who better to help guide a new young star into the NFL to lead this Pittsburgh franchise into a hopefully bright future?

Stefon Diggs- New England Patriots

After a tough year in Houston due to a huge ACL injury, Stefon Diggs finds himself back on the free-agent list in 2025.

He has had a solid career in the NFL so far, with his best years being spent in Buffalo with the Bills. His 2024 season was his first season with under 1,000 receiving yards since 2017 coming this season, with his best season coming in 2021 with over 1,500 receiving yards.

Despite his injury concerns, he is still a huge asset that would improve a lot of NFL receiving cores going into next year, with the Patriots being the most logical fit for Diggs.

A notoriously weak receiving core that did not produce anywhere near the expected levels last season, it is in dire need of improvement, particularly with a fantastic young prospect in Drake Maye leading the offence.

If he can stay fit, Diggs will be a reliable weapon for the young quarterback to help lead this Patriots side through the beginning of their rebuild under new head coach Mike Vrabel.

Amari Cooper- Tennessee Titans

Many people have been surprised that Amari Cooper is still available this late in free agency due to his pedigree. However, his recent form has certainly thrown some question marks around his ability moving forward.

Cooper is a 5x Pro Bowler, with his highest receiving yardage season coming just two seasons ago in 2023, where he achieved over 1,200 yards for the Cleveland Browns.

However, in 2024, he underperformed for the Browns and was subsequently traded to the Bills, where he also struggled, notching just 547 total receiving yards throughout the season.

Despite this, a team like the Titans could be the perfect place for Cooper to rejuvenate his career. Calvin Ridley was the only receiver for the Titans who broke 1,000 receiving yards last season, with their leader for touchdowns Nick Westbrooke-Ihkine already departing for the Dolphins this offseason.

If the 30-year-old can recapture his 2023 form, he could be the reliable weapon that the Titans need going into next year, especially with the potential of them drafting a rookie quarterback growing ever stronger.

CJ Mosley- Atlanta Falcons

After the departure of Grady Jarrett, the Falcons are in need of a new face of their team leadership. So who better to replace him than former legendary Jets captain CJ Mosley?

The former Jets and Ravens All-Pro linebacker finished his career in New York with 300 solo tackles, 204 assists, and three interceptions. However, his struggles with injury combined with him reaching the latter stages of his career has meant his time with the Jets came to an end.

Despite these concerns, he is still a fantastic veteran that many teams could use on defence, but the Falcons seem to be the best landing spot for Mosley as he looks to draw a close on his career.

Set to begin a new era on offence with Michael Penix Jr at the helm, the defence could use some elite talent with great experience to assist this team while they transition, and Mosley’s leadership both on and off the field will be vital to help the Falcons.

Russell Wilson- New York Giants

Now you may ask, if the Winston deal has prevented the Giants from signing Rodgers, why would they then go and sign Wilson who is a very similar player?

Well, there have been many reports that have suggested that the Giants are still in for Wilson despite signing Winston, which suggests that they are unlikely to take a quarterback this year with the third overall pick in the draft.

Therefore, to help bridge the gap until 2026 where the quarterback class is much deeper, former Super Bowl Champion and 10x Pro Bowler Wilson is the perfect man to help guide this team through a tough season.

After yet another year in the playoffs with the Steelers last year, Wilson has enjoyed a fantastic career spent mainly with the Seattle Seahawks. However, two tough years in Denver with the Broncos have shown that his best years are now behind him.

However, a quarterback room of Wilson and Winston will be a solid foundation for the Giants to build on for years to come.
