Bolton Wanderers Agree Transfer For Star Midfielder

Bolton Wanderers have been particularly busy in the transfer window, with the last 48 hours seeing two particularly exciting forward signings in Corey Blackett-Taylor and Rob Apter from Derby County and Charlton Athletic, respectively.

Business was made more urgent for the Trotters after star man Amario Cozier-Duberry began an expected 8-10 week spell on the sidelines.

However, today’s news turns towards outgoings at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, with a deal in place with a fellow League One club for one of their midfielders in the final week of the January window.

Bolton Wanderers Agree Deal With Wycombe

According to reports from Pete O’Rourke, midfielder Aaron Morley is set to make his long-awaited return to Wycombe Wanderers after the two League One clubs agreed a deal.

Morley was a headline act at Adams Park in the first half of last season, proving to be an authoritative figure in the Chairboys midfield, tallying two goals and four assists in 23 appearances for the club.

After his recall, the Buckinghamshire club fell short of the automatic promotion spots at the hands of Wrexham.

Now, the club are still in the third tier, sitting six points adrift of the play-offs, after Michael Duff’s September arrival seemed to rejuvenate a once-struggling squad.

Aaron Morley Set for Wycombe Wanderers Return

Chairboys fans will be more than happy to welcome the midfielder back to Adams Park. As previously mentioned, Morley was an adored, all-action midfielder in his first spell under Matt Bloomfield.

He has played a bit-part role for Bolton this season. For the player, this move represents an opportunity for regular football in an environment that has been extremely positive for them in the past, while the arrival also boosts the club’s playoff chances.

Having already built a strong reputation amongst the Wycombe faithful, if the player can start again where he left off, then Duff has a fantastic asset in the middle of the park.

Morley is proven in League One for his potential new club, Bolton, and Rochdale, and holds value for any squad in this division.
