Brighton vs Chelsea Premier League Match Preview

Brighton and Hove Albion vs Chelsea Premier League

Brighton and Chelsea meet at the Amex in the Premier League only six days after they played there in the FA Cup. Brighton won that game to progress to the fifth round, but in their last Premier League match, they got smashed 7-0 by Nottingham Forest. They currently sit tenth in the league. Before the defeat to Forest, they lost to Everton. Prior to this they won two in a row against Man United and Ipswich. In the league, Brighton haven’t won in their last five games at the Amex, with three draws and two defeats.

Chelsea haven’t won their last four league away games. Their last two league away wins came at Spurs and Southampton. In Chelsea’s last eight Premier League games they have won two games in a run that dates back to the 22nd December. At this time Chelsea were seen as serious title contenders but this run has left them seven points off Arsenal and 14 behind Liverpool, despite sitting in fourth. A result here would be crucial as Man City and Newcastle are close on their heels for the top four, both teams sit only two points behind.
