Chelsea vs Fulham Premier League Preview

Chelsea vs Fulham as the West London rivals meet at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea come into the game after their emphatic 5-1 thrashing of West Ham at the London Stadium. The game was hit with the shock withdrawal of Cole Palmer shortly before kick-off due to a groin issue, and he may not be involved in this game. Estevao, the young Brazilian, came in for Palmer and impressed on his first Premier League start, including an assist. Liam Delap and Joao Pedro started for the first time in the league together, and playing a little bit deeper, Pedro came to show his best. He scored and assisted twice. Enzo Fernandez opened his account for the season, having scored six and assisted seven last season.

Fulham have started the season with successive 1-1 draws. Both of these goals have come as equalisers from substitutes. In the opening game against Brighton, it took a 96th-minute Rodrigo Muniz goal to cancel out the Matt O’Riley penalty. Against Manchester United, a well-worked Iwobi cross was put away by Emile Smith-Rowe.

Fulham also progressed in the Carabao Cup after a 2-0 win over Bristol City, with two first-half goals allowing a fully rotated side to control the tie.
