Colombian superstar Yeimar Mosquera is reportedly close to a permanent move to Premier League giants Aston Villa, as the Villians are looking abroad for future talent.
With the Villians now returning to the UEFA Champions League after a long absence, ensuring they have a deep squad full of quality is the key to success.
With the club already making some fantastic additions into the first-team, they are also keen to improve the youth products in the club.
Establishing a solid youth academy filled with both homegrown and foreign talent is a vital part of becoming one of the best clubs in the world.
They are looking to do this with a new potential signing, with a highly-rated Colombian star reportedly on his way to the Midlands.
Mosquera to Villa?
According to Pipe Sierra, Aston Villa are close to securing a permanent transfer for Orsomarso wonder kid defender Yeimar Mosquera, as they look to secure a huge talent over their rivals.
The 19-year-old is a highly regarded defensive talent, with the player already representing the Colombian Under 20 squad last season.
The centre-back has little first-team experience but has shown glimpses of unbelievable talent which has caught the eye of the Villa scouts.
He joined his current Colombian second-division side from first-division unit Deportivo Pereira, where he played for their Under 20 side before making the drop down a level.
Unai Emery has spoken about adding depth to his side with their schedule getting even busier this season and adding talent to the youth department is certainly a smart idea at this stage.
Will Emery Use Mosquera?
Despite Mosquera coming highly rated from Colombia and Emery needing depth, the likelihood is that upon arrival to Villa, he will be sent on loan to help his development.
His likely destination will be their sister club Real Union who currently play in the third tier of Spanish football.
It will be the perfect place for him to continue his development at a young age and ensure that when he is called upon by Emery in the future, he will be ready to go.
