Coventry City have confirmed midfielder Kasey Palmer is back in training ahead of Saturday’s Championship clash against Millwall via a post on the club’s ‘X’ (Twitter) page.
The Jamaican international has been out of action since mid-September after suffering an injury during a defeat against Cardiff City but has now been given the all-clear to return to training.
The 27-year-old has been limited to just six league appearances so far this season but adds a further midfield boost to the Sky Blues, following the returns of Callum O’Hare, Jamie Allen and Liam Kelly.
Mark Robins’ side are currently undergoing a transition period following the departures of Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer in the summer, with the majority of the money being reinvested back into the playing squad.
This money saw the likes of Milan Van Ewijk, Haji Wright and Ellis Simms join the Championship side but as a result of several new players, the club have slipped to 20th in the table, winning just three matches all season so far.
Palmer arrived at the CBS Arena from fellow Championship side Bristol City in July 2022, making a total of 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring four and assisting a handful of others.
He was a late substitute during the club’s play-off final defeat to Luton Town but has struggled for consistent minutes this season.
Palmer returned to training on Monday and is likely to return to the match-day squad this weekend as Mark Robins’ side make the difficult trip to Millwall.

As a Sky Blues supporter, Palmer is another huge boost to Mark Robins’ side and adds further depth and quality to the attacking third which is a position that has struggled so far this season.
This also creates a selection dilemma for Mark Robins due to having various options including Palmer and O’Hare as well as U21s playmaker Marco Rus who could throw himself into contention following an impressive display at the weekend.
