Dagenham & Redbridge have won the race to sign winger Shiloh Remy on a permanent deal from National League South Side Eastbourne Borough, as confirmed via a statement on the club’s website.
The 22-year-old has completed his dream move into full-time football after the two clubs reached an agreement for the transfer of the winger for an undisclosed fee, but won’t be in action until Boxing Days clash against Eastleigh.
Remy rose through the ranks with Championship side Queens Park Rangers and remained with the club until June 2022 when he was released following the expiry of his contract. He’d also had a handful of Non-League loans before settling with Eastbourne Borough.
So far this season, the winger has scored once in seven appearances as well as netting 13 times last season and has also provided a handful of assists in the process.
His achievements during the previous campaign earned him several awards last season. He won the Players, supporters and Managers Player of the Season award last season as well as a place in the 2022/23 National League South team of the season.
Remy is joining a Dagenham & Redbridge side that are currently 18th in the National League and sits just two points above the relegation zone heading into their game on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Remy’s former side are 21st in the National League South, a point from safety and host the league leaders Yeovil Town in their first match without the winger this weekend.

Remy hasn’t managed to replicate the form he showed last season, but this is likely to have been affected by Eastbourne’s disappointing start to the season.
A new start in a new division is ideally the perfect way for the 22-year-old to kick-start his form from the previous campaign and will allow himself to express his qualities in front of his new fans.
