Everton have had quite the rollercoaster of a season. After a miserable start to their season, the Toffees have seemingly turned things around since David Moyes took over. The Merseyside club is looking to improve their prospects considerably with a shock move.

Tom Fellows has been quite the standout performer for West Bromwich Albion. He has played mostly in midfield or as a forward/winger during his 30 appearances for the club. Fellows is a pacy, decisive player who has a great eye for goal and the key pass. He has scored two goals and assisted ten this season. The English youth international loves to attack defenders directly and has been one of the Baggies best players. His versatility to play multiple positions is also a fascinating feature of the youngster’s game.

In a piece of bombshell news, Alan Nixon is reporting that Everton have made a £10 million offer to West Bromwich Albion for the exciting midfielder. West Bromwich Albion have been busy today already with the sale of Alex Palmer to Ipswich Town. This bit of news would see another big player leave the Hawthornes on Deadline Day. However, Pete O’Rourke has reported that the winger will not be on the move despite talks of a bid agreed on.

Fellows a Fit on Merseyside?

Everton are looking for ways to improve their attacking options, and Fellows is certainly an intriguing prospect to do just that. As stated above, the midfielder is incredibly versatile and can play a variety of positions which instantly is an attractive skill set for any club. With the options Everton have in midfield, Fellows would be a nice, younger option to that platoon. Fellows is always looking to set up his teammates with clever passes and his constant forays into the opposition’s penalty area.

If Everton were to have placed him on the wing, that would have been incredibly intriguing considering the fact that it would have given the England U-21 international more freedom to attack the opponent back line as he loves being aggressive and making defenders make a decision which he can exploit. With targets of the calibre of Beto and Calvert-Lewan in the middle, Fellows would have plenty of targets to pick out as well, which he is more than capable of.

West Brom Breathe Sigh of Relief

A move for Fellows would be devastating for a Baggies side that really needs all the attacking talent they can get. The Midlands club already struggles to create tons of chances, and the subtraction of their best attacker would have been devastating. Mikey Johnston has been decent during his time at the Hawthornes, but nowhere as prolific in creating chances like Fellows. Josh Maja as well has benefited from the form Fellows has been in.

An attack without Fellows would be limited and hurt the Baggies playoff chances. However, with talks not progressing and limited time left in the window, it looks as though Fellows will still be in a West Bromwich Albion kit by the end of the year.
