Rushworth of Interest to Manchester United
Carl Rushworth has impressed in his spells on loan and at just 23 years old he will likely be a regular Premier League goalkeeper within the next five to ten years. He also has the benefit of meeting the homegrown quota which is an increasingly challenging requirement to meet with the influx of foreign players in the Premier League. Alex Crook has suggested the youngster could be a possible Manchester United signing in the summer with West Ham United also an option.
Whilst it is unlikely that he walks in and takes the number one shirt, presenting himself as a viable number two option, appearing in cup and potentially European competition will put him in a good position for an England spot in the future with Jordan Pickford and other options beginning to age out of the role.
Manchester United Goalkeeping Change Over
Andre Onana has been coming under increasing pressure after a series of high profile mistakes with number to option Bayindir not performing well enough to seriously challenge him. There will be some difficult decisions for Ruben Amorim in the summer who will have to decide whether to stick or twist.
