Former Oldham Athletic midfielder Dylan Bahamboula has left SPFL side Livingston by mutual consent, as confirmed via a social media page from the club.
The 28-year-old had been with the Scottish Premiership side since July 2022 but has struggled for first-team minutes so far this season and has been allowed to move onto pastures new.
Who is Dylan Bahamboula?
The midfielder has spent the majority of his career in France, breaking through at AS Nancy and Monaco. He’s also enjoyed stints with Dijon and Paris FC (loan) before moving around the globe.
In 2018, he joined Romanian side Astra Giurgiu but left after six months to sign for Algerian-based CS Constantine to see out the remainder of the campaign. He then spent a year in Hungary before moving to Oldham Athletic in 2020 and Livingston in 2022.
Bahamboula has made just one appearance so far this season, which arrived in the Challenge Cup.
His time at Oldham
Following a successful trial, Bahamboula signed for Oldham Athletic on a free transfer in October 2020. He made his debut during a 3-3 draw against Colchester United in a League Two clash, providing an assist on his debut. His first goal arrived in mid-December during a 3-1 win against Bradford City.
In total, the playmaker made 81 appearances for the now-National League side, whilst contributing to 23 goals in the process. However, he left in 2022 after his contract came to an end and he moved North of the border.
What’s been said?
Upon confirmation of his exit, Livingston posted a tweet which stated…
‘The club can confirm an agreement has been reached with Dylan Bahamboula which sees the player depart the club.
‘All the best, Dylan!’

Where Bahamboula moves next remains to be seen, but his spell at Oldham Athletic certainly proved that he has the potential to continue competing in English football.
It’s unlikely that a reunion with Oldham Athletic is in the works but there is likely to be plenty of clubs interested in landing the midfielder now that he’s available on a free transfer.
