Fulham are considering a bid from Coventry City for 22-year-old winger Martial Godo, according to Rob Dorsett at Sky Sports News. 

Godo is an Ivory Coast youth international, and he made his Premier League debut in late 2024. The winger came off the bench in the 76th minute in the goalless draw at home to Southampton. 

However, the 22-year-old was limited to just two more substitute appearances in the Premier League last season.

Wigan Athletic was where Godo spent the 2023/2024 season on loan. In 38 League One appearances, the winger scored four times and assisted five. A successful first loan in professional football. 

Coventry Submit Bid For Godo

After impressing in League One and making a few Premier League appearances, Godo is now looking for regular first-team football. The Championship looks the most likely destination, with Coventry already putting in a bid to secure Godo’s services. 

Frank Lampard is looking to add to his already strong Coventry side. The Sky Blues boss wants to add the final pieces to his promotion jigsaw, and a winger could do just that. 

Brandon Thomas Asante currently occupies the right wing position at Coventry. However, the 26-year-old is a striker by trade. This is where the youngster could fit in to Lampard’s side, as they aim to put the play-off heartbreak of last season behind them and push for automatic promotion this time around. 

With Godo only being 22, the young winger could learn and improve a lot under Lampard’s guidance. Many youngsters have enjoyed vast rises in the English game after playing under the Chelsea legend. Mason Mount, Harry Wilson, Fikayo Tomori and Jack Rudoni are all players who have come on leaps and bounds when coached and managed by Lampard. 

Coventry will be looking to complete the deal for Godo before Saturday’s home fixture against QPR. However, it all comes down to whether Fulham accept the bid.
