Premier League side Ipswich Town’s young winger Osman Foyo is attracting interest from a host of League One and League Two clubs this January transfer window according to reports.
The 20-year-old has most recently been on a six month loan to National League South side Chelmsford City. He impressed in his short time at the club scoring 12 goals in 21 league appearances.
The talented forward has also had previous loan spells at Torquay and Welling United and started his career with Norwich City.
Now according to The 72 he is attracting interest from a host of EFL clubs over a permanent move including League One Crawley Town as well as League Two Port Vale, Colchester United and AFC Wimbledon.
With just six months left on his current deal with the Premier League club, the race is on to secure his signature.
Ipswich Town’s Talent Ready to Step Up
The young winger has more than demonstrated he can compete well in the National League South over a short spell. His performances have understandably alerted several EFL clubs.
Whilst the youngster is reasonably unproven at a higher level, he has more than earned the opportunity to step up. If he had longer on his contract Ipswich would likely be looking to send him on loan to a League Two club, but the short spell on his contract has afforded a chance to those wanting to pick up a rising star for a lower than market value amount.
Whoever manages to sign him, will likely be able to earn that initial outlay back and more, with his resale value only likely to rise if he can continue his development and form at a higher level. It isn’t just a smart deal on the pitch, but could also be a smart business deal too.
Crawley Town have been known to pick up talent from non-league and give them a platform to continue their momentum. It would not be a surprise to see a similar pattern of events.
