Las Vegas Raiders Set Price for Three-Time All-Pro Man

NFL

The Las Vegas Raiders have set their asking price for star wide receiver, Davante Adams, after his trade request.

The six-time Pro Bowl WR and former Green Bay Packer shocked most of the NFL world when he requested to be traded out of Vegas.

With the NFL trade deadline in just over a month, the league is bracing for what could be a mega trade deal.

What do we know about the Adams and Raiders situation?

Adams requested to be traded Tuesday, with NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo breaking the news.

After that, Adam Schefter shared on X (formerly Twitter) that:

“ESPN sources: Raiders have informed other teams that they wouldconsidertrading WR Davante Adams for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation.”

Sky Sports News shared that any deal would come at a hefty price given Adams’s large wages. The WR has a fully guaranteed base salary of $16.8m, as well as $35.6m in 2025 and $36.6m in 2026 that are non-guaranteed.

How has Adams done since joining the Raiders?

Adams moved to Las Vegas in 2022 after spending eight seasons with the Packers.

The three-time All-Pro WR got his first season in Vegas off to a flyer personally. He led the league in receiving touchdowns with 14, two ahead of Travis Kelce. In that season Adams had 100 receptions for 1516 yards and grabbed 65 first downs.

In his second season, Adams only managed eight receiving touchdowns as the franchise struggled again. This is despite having 103 receptions and, 1144 yards over the season.

He’s played in three of the Raiders’ four games this season, recording just one receiving touchdown.

What next for Adams? – opinion

Adams has a mix of talent and experience that’s likely to be very attractive to many franchises across the league. He could be a season-changing pick for any team in the NFL.

Even in a struggling side, he’s continued to post 1000+ receiving yards. In his last four seasons, he’s eclipsed 1000 yards and has done so in five of his previous six seasons.

One option could be the New York Jets. This would see Adams reuniting with his Green Bay QB, Aaron Rodgers. The Jets have some cap space remaining and some good picks in the 2025 Draft they could use to their advantage.

Although the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t exactly struggle last season despite the talk about their lack of WR options, Adams could be an option.

Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice are injured, which reignites the talk about their WR options. It’s highly unlikely, but the combination of Patrick Mahomes and Adams is a scary thought.
