Leicester City are expected to make a major decision in regards to the future of striker Tom Cannon this summer, amongst interest from rival sides, as confirmed by journalist Alan Nixon.
The 21-year-old joined the Foxes last summer for an undisclosed fee from Premier League side Everton but has struggled to make a lasting impressive under Enzo Maresca during the campaign and faces an uncertain future.
How has Cannon faired so far?
Since joining the Foxes in August 2023, Cannon has made 16 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
In an attack containing the likes of Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, Stephy Mavididi and Kelechi Iheanacho, Cannon has averaged just under one goal contribution every four games even despite the majority of his appearances coming off the bench.
Cannon has also represented Republic Of Ireland at youth level but still awaits his first senior team call-up.
Who is interested in him?
According to journalist Alan Nixon, Cannon has attracted the interest of a handful of Championship clubs ahead of an uncertain future for the 21-year-old.
Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End have been named as potential suitors for the striker, who cost the Foxes £8 million less than a year ago but there hasn’t been confirmation on whether the moves would be loan or permanent.
