Manchester City came from a goal down to beat Leyton Orient 2-1 courtesy of goals from Khusanov and De Bruyne.
The experienced midfielder saved blushes for manager Pep Guardiola who has been under increased pressure this season after a string of underwhelming results this season.
He was able to overcome their lower league opposition by relying on some of his more well known stars in the second half. Silva, Foden and De Bruyne all came off the bench whilst Grealish gave a reasonably good account of himself despite his lack of gametime in recent weeks.
Leyton Orient also performed well against the Champions of England and the 40/50 yard goal from Donley will go down in the club’s history. They can now turn their attentions back to their League One promotion push as they continue to push their way up the table after a poor start to the season. Manager Richie Wellens will be please with his sides resilience in the face of the relentless attacks from the Premier League side.
