Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing an England international from a fellow Premier League.
Newcastle United winger, Anthony Gordon, is attracting interest from other clubs in the Premier League ahead of the summer window.
Gordon joined the Toon in 2023 from Everton and has been a key part of their challenge for a Champions League spot.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal interested in Anthony Gordon
TBR Football have reported that Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing Gordon this summer.
Liverpool were keen on signing Gordon last summer, but after no move materialised, Gordon signed a new deal at Newcastle.
The same outlet has shared that any deal for Gordon will set back the buying club over £75million.
Gordon’s influence for Newcastle United
The England winger has appeared 33 times for Newcastle United in the Premier League this season. In those 33 appearances, Gordon had 11 goal contributions with six goals and five assists.
The 24-year-old’s performances in the league have received an average rating of 7.05 from Sofascore. The rating is the 6th highest in the Magpies squad.
Playing from the left of the Newcastle United attack, Gordon’s been a creative threat. He has created six big chances and averaged 1.6 key passes per game.
In front of goal, Gordon’s six goals fall just short of his xG of 8.01, and he has a goal conversion of 10% in the league.
Will Gordon leave Newcastle United this summer?
At the start of the season, Gordon looked to be a crucial part of the setup at Newcastle United, but towards the end of the season, he found himself on the bench after an injury. Despite that, it would still be a big loss for the Magpies if he did depart.
Their place in Europe next season is still undecided but no matter which competition they end up in, they will need depth to be able to compete on both fronts.
If Gordon can avoid injury next season, he’ll have a crucial role to play for Newcastle United.
The interest of Liverpool is likely to be eye-catching to Gordon. Despite coming through the ranks of Everton, he is a Liverpool fan. The chance to play for the team he supports is likely going to be something that could tempt him.
