Luke Shaw Readying Move Away from Manchester United

Luke Shaw Manchester United Transfer Exit Football Deck

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is readying a move away this summer over fears regarding his playing time under Ruben Amorim.

The Englishman has been with the Red Devils for 11 years, but has seen his spell with the club blighted by constant injury issues.

The 30-year-old has made 287 appearances, but only twice since moving to Old Trafford has he appeared more than 30 times in the Premier League.

Fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia appears to be moving out the exit door whilst Patrick Dorgu and new signing Diego Leon are prepared to battle it out for the spot.

Right-backs Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui can also fill in if necessary, and did so for much of last season whilst Shaw was on the treatment table.

Luke Shaw Looks to Move on Over Manchester United Gametime Fears

Despite returning from injury the defender is concerned that he may not be able to force his way back into the team. Dorgu is the preferred options and Leon is keen to impress his new boss.

He is therefore reportedly considering a move away from the club with Saudi Arabia one potential option. Teams in the Pro League would have no concern covering his £150,000-a-week wage packet and it would free up space in the wage bill for Amorim to improve his team.

An Inevitable End for Manchester United

There is no doubt that Shaw is a top talent and a top professional for Manchester United. But his constant injury issues have meant the club can no longer rely on him. The few times they have, they have been left short or putting players such as Amrabat in at left-back.

The club have now got enough cover in his position, and whilst he is fit it may be best for all parties to part company. It will also free up more wages for Ruben Amorim to strengthen in more important positions, such as the striker, goalkeeper and midfield.
