Premier League giants Manchester United have turned their attention to a new midfielder following their successful pursuit of Benjamin Sesko. However, the fee demanded by Brighton and Hove Albion for Carlos Beleba is expected to be £100m. This has prompted the possible inclusion of a first team player to lower the fee.
The Red Devils have already added Cunha, Mbeumo and Leon and are set to confirm the signing of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko imminently. But their business is not yet complete with a goalkeeper and midfielder still on the shopping list.
The goalkeeper situation has not been easy with Andre Onana still on the books despite links to Donnaruma and Emi Martinez.
The midfield situation could also be challenging with cash flow issues. The Red Devils will likely have to sell their outcast stars to fund further additions. Alejandro Garnacho is closing in on a move to Chelsea and Antony is pushing for a loan move to Real Betis.
There could be some future benefit if Mason Greenwood does move on with a large sell on fee in Man Utd’s favour.

Brighton and Hove Albion’s £100m Fee for Beleba Could Mean Player Moves in Opposite Direction from Manchester United
Brighton and Hove Albion do not want to sell Carlos Beleba, despite links. They have slapped a huge £100m fee on his head to fend off interest. It is clear that Ruben Amorim’s men cannot afford that at the moment so may be willing to add a player to lower the price.
Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro are set to remain at the club meaning that opportunities for Toby Collyer are slim.

As such the midfielder has been offered as part of the potential deal to Brighton and Hove Albion in an attempt to lower the price. Sources have confirmed to The Football Deck that the player would be “excited” to move to the Premier League club if given the opportunity.
It is unknown at this stage if Brighton would be interested in the move and it may be rejected at the first opportunity. However, it shows MUFC’s willingness to think creatively to get the deal done.
