Manchester United Ready to Poach £70m Arsenal Striker Target

After securing the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo from fellow Premier League side Brentford, Manchester United are preparing to poach Arsenal’s striker target this summer.

The Red Devils are yet to confirm the signing of their new forward, but Fabrizio Romano’s “here we go” indicates that a move is imminent. He joins Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon this summer in Ruben Amorim’s side.

The club are now moving their efforts towards a striker, with a goalkeeper and a midfielder still on the shopping list for the club.

They had been pursuing Liam Delap, prior to his move to Chelsea. They have also seemingly missed out on Arsenal bound Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting. This is largely due to their failure to secure Champions League football.

With Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee failing to provide more than seven Premier League goals between them a striker is a must.

Manchester United Target Benjamin Sesko After Arsenal Snub

Premier League rivals Arsenal were working on a deal for Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig this summer. However, the financial package and Viktor Gyokeres’ preference to sign for the club have moved Mikel Arteta’s attention.

According to Football Deck sources Manchester United would be willing to spend in excess of £70m to secure his signature. This is only possible due to their success in negotiating Mbeumo’s fee to be paid over four instalments rather than the usual three.

It will require sales however, with Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Malacia and Garnacho all up for sale.

With a goalkeeper and a midfielder on the shopping list it may be some time before they can complete their transfer business.

Amorim’s Impossible Task

After the worst season in the club’s Premier League history, it might be expected that the pressure would be on Ruben Amorim this summer. However, in reality the truth couldn’t be more different.

The former Sporting boss retains the belief of many of club’s fans and with the dire financial situation and poor state of the squad most are realistic that it will take some time for him to construct a side capable of playing his style of football.
