Millwall Head Coach Neil Harris has resigned from his role with immediate effect sources have confirmed to The Deck.
His resignation comes following the lions’ 1-0 loss to Coventry City at the weekend, which was Coventry boss Frank Lamaprd’s first win of his tenure.
Prior to that game, Millwall had been on a run of 9 games unbeaten – including wins against Leeds United & Burnley.
Millwall legend Neil Harris, who made over 400 appearances for Millwall and scoring 135 times, is the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
After the loss to Coventry, Harris seemed to make a dig at a section of Millwall supporters calling them “thickos” – although not directly.
Harris returned to Millwall in February for a second spell in charge and kept Millwall in the EFL Championship, recording eight wins, two draws, and three losses.
This season, Millwall have won six, drew seven, and lost only five games in the league – but Harris must feel now is the right time to move on.
Millwall will now look for a replacement to Neil Harris.
