Norwich City forward Ken Aboh is close to leaving the Championship club, ahead of a loan switch to League Two side Colchester United for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Canaries are currently locked in the middle of an ongoing play-off push once again in the Championship, and are likely to be open to letting some of their younger players head out on loan to earn valuable first-team minutes.
According to a report via the Pink Un, Norwich City U21s forward Ken Aboh will be moving to Colchester United on loan for the rest of the season following an agreement between the two clubs.
How has he fared this season?
The 20-year-old spent the first half of the campaign with League One side Stevenage, but returned to Carrow Road following the conclusion of his spell.
He was limited to just six appearances for Alex Revell’s side in all competitions this season, with his only goal arriving during a 4-0 victory against Burton Albion in the EFL Trophy.
Since returning to the Championship side, Aboh has featured twice at youth level for the club, scoring a brace against German side Hertha Berlin II in the Premier League International Cup.
Attacking focus from Colchester
Danny Cowley’s Colchester United have been extremely busy in the transfer window thus far, especially on deadline day.
Portsmouth’s Anthony Scully was the first to arrive on loan for the remainder of the campaign, before Kane Vincent-Young completed a permanent return until the end of the season.
The day also saw Brentford B’s Kyreece Lisbie join on a permanent deal after a fee was agreed between the two sides.
The arrival of Uboh would be Colchester’s third attacking signing on the final day of the window, evidently suggesting that Cowley wanted his side to be more clinical and creative at the top end of the pitch.
