Notts County have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Fleetwood Town midfielder Scott Robertson ahead of the January transfer window, as confirmed by journalist Scott Burns via the Daily Record.
The 22-year-old is set to move to Meadow Lane next month as the football club continue to push for promotion into League One at the first time of asking.
The Scotsman has made 16 appearances in all competitions so far this season for the League One strugglers but is yet to contribute a goal or assist so far this season.
Robertson began his career with SPFL giants Celtic, rising through their youth ranks as well as experiencing several EFL loan spells with the likes of Doncaster Rovers, Gillingham and Crewe Alexandra. In total, he made over 60 first-team appearances before moving to Fleetwood Town on a free transfer in January.
He joined a Fleetwood Town side managed at the time by former Celtic legend Scott Brown and has made 31 appearances during the entirety of 2023 but is yet to find the back of the net for his new side and it appears as though he will be moving on once the transfer window opens next week.
Fleetwood Town currently sit 23rd in League One, four points from safety and have won just four of their opening 22 league games so far this season.
Meanwhile, Notts County are 5th in League Two, six points behind the automatic promotion places but their victory on Boxing Day ended a four-game losing streak which has seen them slip down the division after what was a very strong start.

The midfielder is expected to join Notts County shortly whilst adding to their pre-existing midfield options which contains the likes of John Bostock, Dan Gosling and Matty Palmer.
The news will be a blow to Fleetwood Town but the finances involved could allow them to secure a couple of new signings to try and keep their place in the third tier, making this an ideal move for all parties.
