Former Oxford United Head Coach Karl Robinson is in talks with League Two side Salford City regarding their vacant managerial position, as per journalist Alan Nixon.
According to reports Salford City have met with several candidates and as per Alan Nixon, Karl Robinson could be that man that the Class of ’92 opted for in their pursuit of a new manager.
Karl Robinsons’ last job came in May 2023 when he was appointed assistant manager to Sam Allardyce at Leeds United whom he has previously worked at Blackburn.
His last role as a manager was at League One side Oxford United where he spent 5 years as First Team Head Coach guiding Oxford United to two playoff campaigns in back-to-back seasons before being sacked in February 2023 following an eight-game winless run.
Karl Robinson made a name for himself in his first role at MK Dons where he was made the youngest manager in the Football League at just 29 years old. During his first two seasons as a manager, he guided MK Dons to back-to-back 5th-place finishes in League One. In his fourth year as a manager, his MK Dons side beat Manchester United 4-0 in the EFL Cup as well as finally gained promotion to the Championship.
Salford City are currently 21st in League Two after a frustrating start to the season, losing 14 of their opening 25 matches. The club are just five points above the relegation zone and host bottom-side Forest Green Rovers this weekend.

I feel that Karl Robinson would be a good fit for Salford City as he could bring a wealth of experience to the League Two side as he has managed nearly 700 games despite being only 43 years old which is an incredible achievement for any manager.
Last season Salford City were the joint job scorers scoring 72 goals which may suit the style of football Karl Robinson would bring to the Ammies.
