Sheffield Wednesday have turned down several offers from Premier League clubs for one of their young attackers.

The Owls are preparing for the final stage of the Championship season and have a slim chance of reaching the play-offs.

While the senior players focus on the present, one Sheffield Wednesday youngster will likely be dreaming of a successful future.

15-year-old Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri has caught the eye while playing for Sheffield Wednesday’s academy. The young attacker has been with the club since the age of seven and has been impressive in recent years.

His performances in front of goal have attracted attention from Premier League clubs looking to sign the future talent.

What do we know about the interest?

The Star confirmed that Sheffield Wednesday have turned down several offers from Premier League clubs for Cadamarteri.

The Owls appear to be set on making sure the young striker continues his progress at Sheffield Wednesday, with the likely view of him becoming a first-team player.

Despite the intentions of the Owls, it is expected that more Premier League clubs will be approaching Wednesday over a move for the attacker.

How’s Cadamarteri performed at the youth level?

Playing for both the Sheffield Wednesday U15s and U18s, Cadamarteri has scored 40 goals. 15 of those goals have come while playing at U18 level.

The forward, whose brother Bailey is also a Sheffield Wednesday player currently on loan at Lincoln City, has also trained with the senior side.

Caelen-Kyle has represented both England and Scotland U16s and is also eligible for Jamaica.

Will Sheffield Wednesday keep Cadamarteri?

The Owls will likely be hoping that Caelen follows in the footsteps of his older brother Bailey by committing his future to the club.

Sheffield Wednesday can offer Cadamarteri an early scholarship to make sure his immediate future is with the club.

One hurdle they may find is if they can match the ambitions of the young attacker. Recent off-the-field troubles might leave young Cadamarteri questioning whether the Owls are the right place for him to continue developing.

However, the Owls have handled the development of brother Bailey well, something Caelen will likely take positives from. Bailey broke into the first team under Danny Rohl and helped keep the Owls up. He was allowed to leave on loan last summer and has benefited from consistent first-team games.

If they can secure the future of Cadamarteri, even for the next couple of years, they’ll be able to either cash in or use him in their first team.
