Stevenage Set To Miss Out On Attacking Target To SPFL Side

Stevenage are set to lose out on attacking target Adama Sidibeh to SPFL side St. Johnstone before the window closes, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The goal-scoring forward has enjoyed an excellent season with Warrington Rylands and has undergone a series of trials in the football league in recent months but now appears to be moving north of the border.

Who is Adama Sidibeh?

The talented forward is currently applying his trade for Warrington Rylands after arriving from fellow Non-League side Cheadle Heath after hitting 20 goals last season.

The 25-year-old is one of Non-League’s brightest talents and has hit double figures in each of his last two seasons and news of his impending switch to Scotland will be a huge addition to the Scottish Premiership side.

Who else has been linked?

Previously, journalist Pete O’Rourke had linked the forward with moves to Stockport County, Salford City, Blackpool and National League side Altrincham earlier in the transfer window.

However, despite having a trial with League One promotion hopefu Stevenage, it now appears that the forward will be moving to SPFL giants St. Johnstone in a bid to bolster his qualities and prove himself in the Scottish top flight.

What’s been said?

According to journalist Alan Nixon, St. Johnstone have won the race to sign the talented forward for an undisclosed fee after a proposed move to Stevenage failed to occur.

There has been no comment as to why a deal with Stevenage didn’t occur, but their loss is certainly St. Johnstone’s gain as they aim to guarantee survival in the Scottish top flight.

Writer’s View

The forward has been tipped for a bright future in the game but is yet to have received his big break in professional football but that seems to have changed now.

Having watched clips of the forward, he has both speed and strength which is something that the Scottish Premiership side have lacked throughout the campaign so far.
