26-year-old free agent Admiral Muskwe is expected to join League Two Harrogate Town after departing Chanpionship side Luton Town in the summer.
The forward was released by the relegated Premier League side after three years at the club, where he joined from Leicester City. He has previously had loan spells at Swindon Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Fleetwood Town and most recently a spell in League One with Exeter City.
However, he was only able to make 8 appearances for the Grecians before departing without a goal or an assist to his name.
Now, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Muskwe could be set to link up with Simon Weaver’s Harrogate Town, having already joined them for training.
Harrogate Town’s League Two Season So Far
Harrogate have enjoyed a mixed season so far, currently occupying the lower mid table positions in 17th. However, they do have an 8 point buffer between them and 23rd placed Morecambe.
The club are unfortunately, one of the lowest scorers in the division with only Tranmere Rovers and bottom place Carlisle United having scored less which is an aspect Simon Weaver will be looking to improve on.
Muskwe does not have the best record in the EFL but it would provide more competition for places with a player who will be eager to prove himself to get his career back on track.
League Two is looking tightly packed this season with the exception of the bottom few clubs and a couple of wins and some luck in terms of results elsewhere could move them up to within touching distance of the play-off spots. If they are able to do that heading into the January window they will be in a good position going into the second half of the campaign against very few stand out sides.
