Swansea City have reportedly agreed to a deal to sign Brentford youngster Myles Peart-Harris, as the club looks to bring in new attacking reinforcements before the transfer deadline.
Deadline Day has finally arrived, and clubs around the EFL are scrambling to make any last-minute deals before tonight’s deadline.
There are only a few hours left in the transfer window, giving teams very little time to complete any more deals.
Activity levels will be high throughout the day with deals in talks at practically every club in the Championship as they look to complete their squads.
Swansea are close to completing their first deal of the day, as a move has been agreed for a Premier League young talent.
Peart-Harris Set For Swansea
According to Pete O’Rourke, Swansea City have agreed to a deal with Brentford for attacking midfielder Myles Peart-Harris to join the club on loan for the rest of the season.
The attacker has spent the last two seasons out on loan and is set for his first loan spell to the Championship to continue his development.
Swansea have needed reinforcements in creative areas for a while and they are hoping that Peart-Harris is the player who can help with that.
Peart-Harris was used in and around the Brentford first team at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign but struggled for game time.
Due to this, he was loaned out to Portsmouth for the second half of the season to ensure that he could continue his development.
He made 12 appearances, scoring twice as he showed impressive signs in League One in limited time.
The previous year he spent the season with Forest Green Rovers, as he scored six and assisted three in 47 matches as he showed a lot of promise despite Rovers’ terrible season.
A Good Signing For Swansea?
Although Peart-Harris has not played in the Championship yet, it could finally be the time that he makes the step up.
He has enjoyed two successful spells in League One and he has a point to prove that he can do it at the higher level.
If he can find the form from his League One spells in the Championship, he will be a fantastic asset for the club to have.
