Swansea City have had a relatively quiet transfer window despite their underwhelming Championship campaign but may be set to increase their activity with a move for an in-form League One star.

23-year-old Ethan Galbraith has been instrumental in Leyton Orient’s ten-match League One unbeaten run which has featured eight wins. He played the full 90 minutes in the win over Reading this weekend.

Former Manchester United Academy Prospect in Sensational Form

A key feature in the O’s recent run has been the form of their versatile star Galbraith. The player has featured in all but one match as Leyton Orient have moved within a single point of the play-off positions.

He was instrumental in their 3-0 win over Crawley Town, completing 100% of his four tackles, 49 of 60 passes and made two interceptions in an impressive defensive showing from a right-back role.

The former Manchester United academy player, who joined the club in 2023 from the Premier League club, has become a prominent feature in possession with no player at the League One club with more than ten starts having a better pass completion rate.

The player has impressed in a right-back role recently but has played a lot of this current season in a number-ten role, evidenced by his four-goal contribution in league outings.

Galbraith’s form has not gone unnoticed with clubs higher up the EFL pyramid reportedly interested in his signature.

Swansea City Reportedly Interested in Leyton Orient Star

According to Pete O’Rourke, the Championship outfit are eyeing a move for the Northern Ireland international as he has entered the final six months of his contract.

Galbraith has elevated his game this season and is growing as a presence in the team after almost a century of appearances in the third tier. It is unclear if he would be a regular in the Championship but it may help his international career if he were to move up a division.

It would be a major surprise if Leyton Orient allowed the player to leave in this transfer window as they are a major contender for a top-six finish. Swansea City have less of a need for an immediate transfer so this story may rumble on until the summer.
