Premier League side West Ham United have sacked manager Graham Potter after a dreadful start to the season and immediately appointed former Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Pressure has been building on the former Chelsea boss this season, with the Hammers currently sitting 19th in the table with only one win from five. There had been several reports that he would be given until the international break to turn around the club’s form. However, they have chosen to act now ahead of their upcoming fixture against Everton.
Potter has managed 25 games for West Ham but only managed six wins and five draws with 14 defeats. More worrying they have lost five out of their last six games, with their only victory coming against Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest.
The irony is that he would be the man replacing him just a couple of weeks later.

Nuno Espirito Santo has accepted the offer to take over at the London Stadium, just a few weeks after losing his job at Nottingham Forest. The former Tottenham boss had high profile spats with owner Evangelos Marinakis which ultimately put the writing on the wall for his tenure.
He has previously managed Valencia, Porto, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Al-Ittihad, Spurs and Forest. He notably earned European football in the Europa League with the latter, albeit during the controversial Crystal Palace demotion to the Conference League.
He had a good record earning 30 wins and 15 draws in 71 games with a positive goal difference. Recording some notable wins and reigniting the career of striker Chris Wood amongst others.
His next game will be against Everton and former Hammers boss David Moyes on Monday evening.
