Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in talks to sign Burnley winger Luca Koleosho, as they look to bolster their attacking threats before the end of the transfer window.
With a defeat to open the Premier League season and a tough run of games coming, it has become very clear very quickly that Wolves need reinforcements.
This was further exaggerated with the recent departure of star winger Pedro Neto to Chelsea, leaving a huge hole in their attack.
There have been limited incomings to the club so far this transfer window, but with the new funds from the Neto deal the fans will hope this will soon change.
They could have a new winger to help soften the loss of Neto, with a now Championship starlet potentially on his way to Wolverhampton.
Koleosho to Wolves?
According to Express and Star, Wolverhampton Wanderers are in talks to sign Burnley star Luca Koleosho before the conclusion of the summer transfer window.
They are looking for new attacking options and believe that Koleosho is a perfect fit for what manager Gary O’Neil is trying to build at the club.
Koleosho only joined Burnley in the most recent January transfer window, making the move from Espanyol for approximately £3 million.
The American national only managed to make 15 appearances in the Premier League before the Clarets were relegated to the second tier of English football.
In that time, he scored and assisted on one occasion and showed some impressive glimpses of talent despite having never played at the level before.
At just 19 years old, it is impressive to be making any appearances at the highest level, and he certainly proved his worth to Burnley very quickly.
Since their relegation, Koleosho has drawn many admirers who know they may be able to sign the winger for less than he is probably worth, but Burnley are keen to hold on to him as they fight to return to the top flight straight away.
However, a move back to the Premier League to an exciting project could be enough to tempt Kolesoho away.
Should Wolves Sign Him?
Although many believe Koleosho is yet to show his best in the Premier League and he still has a lot of growing to do, this would be a great coup for Wolves.
His natural talent is unarguable, and if he can continue to develop at the rate he is then he could become one of the best wingers in the division.
With them being able to sign him for a lower price than they expected too, this should certainly be a deal that Wolves look to complete very soon.
