Yeovil Town have found themselves within a strong start to the 2024/25 season following their promotion last season and after some recent exits, it appears as though a new target has been thoroughly identified.
Mark Cooper’s side currently find themselves tenth in the National League standings heading into 2025, with the club just three points outside of the play-off places.
The club have lost just one of their last four league games after ending their three-man losing streak – though two of those games were against title chasers Barnet and York City.
Following the permanent exit of Dylan Morgan as well as the termination of Raphael Araoye’s loan deal, space is open for a new recruit and it appears as though one has been identified.
Yeovil target National League man
As reported by journalist Pete O’Rourke, Yeovil Town have made an offer to sign defender Cameron Green from fellow National League side Boston United.
Green is about to enter the final six months of his contract with the National League strugglers and could be open to the idea of switching clubs in order to remain as a fifth-tier player.
According to O’Rourke, Yeovil want to get a deal for Green done during January, though the National League transfer window continues to be open until March.
How has he fared this season?
The 25-year-old has been ever-present in Boston’s back line so far this season, following their promotion from the National League North last season.
Green has made 22 league appearances so far this season, with only one of them being as a substitute.
During that time he has contributed to three goals with his most recent strike coming against Braintree Town last month.
The full-back has also featured three times for Boston United in the National League Cup and his departure is likely to be a significant loss for the club.
