Chelsea Man a Target for European Giant

Chelsea Transfer

It’s been another summer full of movement at Chelsea. The arrivals of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Jamie Gittens were also met with the outgoings of Carney Chukwumeuka, Joao Felix, and Noni Madueke.

Another outgoing is in the pipeline, with a European giant sparking potential interest. It’s set to be a busy 72 hours at Stamford Bridge as the transfer deadline looms.

Chelsea Man Sparks Interest From European Giants

According to Florian Plettenburg, Chelsea man, Tyrique George, has been added to FC Bayern Munich’s list of targets.

George has reportedly been added to Bayern’s shortlist due to his youth and potential. It is unclear whether the German side are willing to buy the 19-year-old outright.

With Chelsea only having one international loan spot available, Bayern would have to choose between George or Nicolas Jackson, who is also of interest.

It’s not just Bayern that are keen on the youngster. RB Leipzig, AS Roma, and two unnamed Premier League clubs are also interested in the forward’s services.

How Did George Fare Last Season?

It was a breakthrough 2024/2025 season for George. The 19-year-old made 26 appearances for the Blues, scoring three times and assisting a further five.

George made his senior debut for Chelsea last August in the Conference League qualifier against Servette.

Additionally, the teenager scored his first goal for the club in April against Legia Warsaw. George also netted his maiden Premier League goal a week later, against Fulham.

Mainly, the Conference League was where George accumulated most of his minutes, as Chelsea lifted the trophy after a 4-1 win against Real Betis. However, George was an unused substitute in the final.

Is This A Good Move For All Parties?

For George, this is the wrong move. With Michael Olise and Luis Diaz as the starting wingers for Bayern, it is extremely difficult to see where the teenager gets his minutes from.

For Bayern, this is also a poor move. George is not established enough to warrant a place in the side over Serge Gnabry, Diaz, and Olise. There are many better options out there.

For Chelsea, this is a good move.

With the impending arrival of Alejandro Garnacho, George’s minutes will be even more limited than last season.

Also, the teenager is a homegrown player, so he counts for 100% pure profit. Any sale of George would hugely benefit Chelsea’s PSR situatio
