Man Utd are set to offload €15million Erik ten Hag signing Tyrell Malacia for a staggeringly low price just three years after signing him.

The Dutchman linked up with the Red Devils in 2022 from Feyenoord as one of several players to join the club from Dutch football under the former Ajax boss.

However, his spell has gone from bad to worse as poor form and injury eventually led to his departure on loan to PSV Eindhoven in the second half of last season. Diogo Dalot and Mazraoui both signed as right-backs were favoured at left back with Luke Shaw taking the position when he was fit.

Then when Ruben Amorim came into the club one of his first signings was Patrick Dorgu who despite a few rocky games has held the position since joining.

Malacia Told to Stay Away

Malacia was one of five names along with Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony who were told to stay away from the club to find a new club this summer. There have been some disputes as to whether they have asked to leave or are being forced out by the club.

With Dorgu holding the position, Harry Amass emerging, Luke Shaw still on the books and new signing Diego Leon joining as one for the future the writing is on the wall.

Celtic Transfer Target

Malacia has emerged as a target for Scottish giants Celtic this summer as they look to reinforce the left side of defence. Speaking to sources close to the player they have confirmed interest.

But now, according to the Daily Record, the club have been quoted the staggeringly low price of just £3million to secure his signing with low interest prompting a dramatic drop in asking price from the €15million they signed him for.

Whether the move will be completed or not remains to be seen but the low price may bring other interested parties to the table.
