Millwall Forward Set For National League Switch - The Deck - Entertainment, Film, Film News

Millwall forward Nana Boateng is set to join National League side Solihull Moors on loan for the remainder of the season, as confirmed by journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The 21-year-old is set to link up with Andy Whing’s side on a deal until the end of the 2023/24 season, returning to the National League for the first time since January.

What can Boateng bring to Solihull Moors?

The forward will bring recent National League experience to Solihull Moors, following his return from fellow fifth-tier side Woking with whom he’d spent the first half of the campaign.

During his time with the Cardinals, Boateng made eight league appearances for the club, contributing to two goals but returned to Millwall in January.

Boateng is a quick forward who will add fierce attacking improvement in the final third for the Moors. With Jack Stevens and Tyrese Shade injured, he will be able to provide competition for Tahvon Campbell and Mark Beck as the club continues to push for promotion.

Solving one problem

As mentioned, Solihull Moors have experienced a difficult spell with injuries, which has left Andy Whing with limited tactical options, something that was highlighted during their mid-week defeat against Southend United.

Having a new attacking option will give Whing’s men the versatility that they need in order to bounce back and go again against second-place Barnet on Friday.

Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat against Southend United saw Solihull Moors drop to fifth in the National League and now sit four points behind Bromley with just five matches left to play. The Moors host Barnet on Friday, needing a victory to keep their top three hopes alive before moving onto Monday’s trip to Wealdstone.

Fortunately, Boateng is set to sign in time to feature for Solihull Moors tomorrow against the Bees and will be looking to put himself in the shop window, due to his current deal expiring at the end of the 2023/24 season.
