Solihull Moors Confirm Short-Term Exit - The Deck - Entertainment, Film, Film News

Solihull Moors have confirmed winger Max Brogan has joined National League North Side Buxton FC on a short-term loan deal, via a statement on the club’s website.

The 22-year-old departs Andy Whing’s side on his second short-term loan of the season following his stint with National League North title challengers Tamworth earlier in the campaign.

Brogan has made just four first-team appearances under Andy Whing so far this season, including a strike during Solihull’s FA Cup qualifying victory against Biggleswade Town in October.

The winger made a handful of appearances during his one-month spell at Tamworth, assisting once as well as scoring from the halfway line during his debut for the club.

Buxton have recently acquired fellow winger Will Bapaga on a free transfer, following his release from Championship side Coventry City and have now added a further addition to their attacking ranks.

The club currently sit 15th in the National League North, six points above the relegation zone. Equally, the club are also only six points outside of the top seven in the sixth-tier and have an outside chance of achieving a play-off place this season.

Meanwhile, Solihull Moors have dropped to fifth in the National League, winning just one of their last five matches in all competitions. The club are six points behind Barnet in third but could be knocked out of the play-offs if they fall to defeat against Oxford City.

Solihull Moors have confirmed the 22-year-old will spend the next 28 days with Buxton and is in the squad for their match against Scunthorpe United this weekend.

Writer’s View

During the matches I have personally seen Brogan has plenty of attacking talent and can take on and beat any opposition defenders that he likes, but he has seemingly struggled to stake a place under Andy Whing.

Therefore, it is no surprise that the playmaker has been loaned out because he needs first-team minutes and he will be joining a good, local side to continue his development.
