Solihull Moors Confirm Double Player Exit - The Deck - Entertainment, Film, Film News

Solihull Moors have confirmed the news that duo Max Martin and Max Brogan have departed the National League side on loan deals, via statements on their website.

Martin has moved to Non-League side Hednesford Town, continuing the ongoing partnership between the two clubs whilst Brogan has extended his stay with Buxton FC until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Who are the duo?

Beginning with Max Martin, the midfielder is a product of the Solihull Moors Elite Academy system and has recently returned from a loan stint with Studley. Martin also had an earlier spell with Hednesford and will be looking to pick up where he left off.

Meanwhile, Max Brogan has extended his stay at Buxton after making five appearances since his arrival in mid-December. He also had a stint with National League North leaders Tamworth earlier this season and scored from the halfway line on his debut for the club.

The deals

Max Martin’s move to Hednesford Town will last 28 days unless it is extended at a later date. He remains under contract for next season at the Armco Arena regardless of his progression during this stint.

Brogan joined Buxton on a 28-day loan but given his success in the National League North, the deal has been extended until the end of the 2023/24 season as the club continues to fend off any relegation fears.

Moors go marching on

Andy Whing’s side are currently fourth in the National League and continue to try and close the gap on Barnet in third, but face plenty of strong competition.

The Moors are currently nine points behind Barnet with a game in hand and make the trip to Gateshead on Tuesday evening in the hope of securing their third victory on the bounce.

Writer’s View

The duo aren’t currently regular starters under Andy Whing, meaning there is no surprise to see either of them depart on their respective loan moves.

Martin is a player for the future whilst Brogan has struggled to break into the side but has shown a lot of potential in the times he has played.
